riga-based company my cabin has designed three prefabricated timber structures that can be assembled just about anywhere. the series includes a tiny two-story house called ‘my milla’, the ‘my kalmus’ workspace, and a sauna named ‘my galia’. the volumes can stand individually or be modeled as a set. 

characterized by warm wood and a traditional pitched roof form, the architecture offers a cozy environment where inhabitants can rest and discharge their minds from bustling city life. the getaway cabins invite people to reconnect with nature all the while providing the comforts of modern living.

all my cabins are designed in a minimal scandinavian aesthetic, with pine wood frames and exposed wood interiors. the spruce-clad exteriors can also be stained based on customers’ requirements.

the houses have high-quality steam and diffusion film insulation designed to endure the harsh weather conditions in latvia. furthermore, there are several heating options such as electric heaters, electric heated floors, or wood furnaces. the structures take about two months to build in their basic form. while they can be connected together, the width, height, or slope of the building cannot be increased. 

the first cabin, ‘my milla’ occupies a 27 sqm plan and accommodates a living space, a small functional kitchen, a bathroom, and a bedroom nestled on a mezzanine floor — its price starts from 28,750 euros. ‘my calmus’ spans around 15 sqm and serves mainly as a working space, with a price of 17,950 euros. and lastly, ‘my galia’ takes shape as a 9 sqm sauna costing 15,950 euros. the price includes the foundation, industrial preparation of the house, and installation within the terms of the contract.
